if he usually cant talk to you on the phone while not at work, not answering his phone, change in attitude, long time apart, telling him that you are on your way to see him, will stay with him for a month and check his reaction.
the feeling you get that the person acts distant when talking with you. when it should be the total opposite because he or she misses you. dont follow thru on things they say they will do. they call less and less often. they dont come and see you as much
in fact long distance relationships usually end up bad because you cant continue to develop the relationship and when one or the other mearly acts a little different even though there may be nothing going on the idea gets stuck in your head and the trust issue will always be there.
distant in your communicaton, they get agitated at the littlest things, dont keep you included in their day to day actions. these might be a reason to worry. talk to him darlin.
Some signs would be:
-Not answering phone/texts when they said they would.
-Being vague or sneaky about their plans, what they will be doing.
-Saying things like, “I am just going out with the girls/guys and not explaining who they are.”
-Having new friends that they are either avoiding telling you or are vague about

I was in that years ago and its tough. I would say the sure sign is loss of interest. For instance if you are planning to meet and they make up excuses why they can’t. Long distance relationships really never work. It takes alot of loyalty and love.
Not being able to contact that person at times they should be home and when you do they have some feeble excuse. When I was overseas I had this happen to me with my wife. Luckily she wasn’t cheating on me ( I confirmed this with friends of mine) she was out with friends drinking nearly every night and has cut down since I got home. She kept making up feeble excuses like she had the ringer switched of on the phone because she was tired. Or she had to work late or it rained and interfered with the phone lines. This kind of thing, if its suspicous then it usually means something is up.
