Would you say men and women fear infidelity equally?
Or is it that women fear it more?

I think women fear this more than men because men often are the major money maker in a home and there’s the fear of losing this. Also because if the woman is the one who is cheating there is always the risk of pregnancy.

  1. Been there, don't want to go back says:

I think the fear of infidelity depends on a person’s level of confidence, past experiences, and trust issues rather than gender.

I think it seems women fear it more, especially after they have a baby, and if they need to stay home with that child while their partner works. Being alone with a baby all day and no adult conversation can make a woman feel isolated and like anyone spending too much time, essentially alone, her mind may start to wander and overthink things such as the amount of times her husband checks his cell phone when he’s home, or when he comes in hours later than he promised.

I think it’s important for everyone to stay busy and stay connected to friends and family. When a partner becomes your entire life and your happiness rests on them alone, it put a lot of pressure on them to please you and they can grow resentful or tired of it.

So I would yes, some men and some women fear infidelity equally. But not all.

I’d say men fear it just as much but us men (at least me) don’t worry SO much about it
