How common is it for swingers or cheaters to catch an STD?

Question by Lovin’ It: How common is it for swingers or cheaters to catch an STD?
My husband has been begging me to swing with some guy that lives down the street but he looks kind of dirty, so I am not sure. How can you tell if someone has a contagious STD? How do you ask?

I just want to be careful. I have medically controlled herpes (meaning no active flare ups) but how can I be assured the new guy is in the clear? Thanks

Just have sex with him really quick… that’ll reduce you’re chances of catching anything…….

LOL..I can’t imagine my husband begging me to have sex with another man..and if he did I would think the marriage is over.

Anytime you have multiple partners, you are at a big risk for STD’s. There is really no way to tell if someone has a disease by looking at them, or asking them for that matter. You can look absolutely healthy, and still have a disease. If you ask him, of course he will tell you “no”. My advice to you would be to stop swinging. If you have herpes, you could pass it on to someone else. This new guy should be the one who’s worried about getting a disease.

Even if you have no flare ups you can still be a carrier of herpes. it’s very easy to catch an STD if you don’t use a condom and you can’t tell if someone has a STD just by the way they look. If you do decide to do it at least let him know you have herpes, the same way you want him to let you know if he has an STD. Also, there are people who don’t or won’t get checked for an STD therefore, he might not even know he has one, or two, or three. diseases.

Read between the lines. He wants you to have sex so he will have an excuse to do the same thing. Turn about is fair play isn’t that the way it works. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so. There is nothing like spreading it all through the neighbor hood. I have read you can pass herpes on and not even have a breakout. Who knows the guy might have aids. Then what will you do?

The only way to not get pregnant is to abstain!

The only 100% way to keep from getting ST D’s is be monogamous! or abstain from sex!

I wouldn’t worry about catching an STD form a real swinger. But you shouldn’t even THINK about it since you have herpes. Medically controlled or not (something of a gamble there). There’s a better chance you’re going to pass YOUR problem to someone else, than catching something from someone else.

Swingers practice safe sex, and have a lower incidence of STD’s than any other group.

Cheaters not so much, and I wouldn’t trust cheaters.
